Irondale Reunion - Classes of 1970 and 1971

Dear Irondale Classmates of 1970 and 1971,

The reunion planned for fall of 2020 is now on for 2021.  The Irondale 50+ Year Class Reunion Committee is once again planning for this year's dates of Friday, September 10th and Saturday, September 11th, 2021.

This new Reunion will be at the same great venue, DoubleTree by Hilton in Roseville, with the same exceptional food from Axel’s Restaurant. We will still get to tour Irondale on Friday, September 10th and attend the Irondale football game that night. And classmates can still gather for a golf scramble Saturday morning.

We have been very excited by the enthusiasm that has been building for this reunion, especially the number of our classmates from out of town who said they were planning to attend!

When this committee started the planning back in January of 2019, we knew that the 50 Year Class Reunion would be special. We knew that the “50th” would hold a unique importance that would attract back classmates we have not seen in a long time. What we didn’t know, was how important this reconnection with people was going to be.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2021

4:00 pm    Gather in Irondale's lobby to set off on a guided tour of the 'new and improved' school.

7:00 pm    Irondale Football Game at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School.  10635 36th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55441.  Meet on the visitor's side. Maroon and Gold apparel and letter jackets are encouraged.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2021

9:00 am  Golf Scramble:  Join your classmates for a fun 'golf scramble' Saturday morning at the 9-hole, par-3 Cedarholm Golf Course in Roseville. A free shuttle is available from the Double Tree Hotel.  Register in advance.  Send an email  to knightsclassof1970@gmail.com.  Or, contact Brook Lemm-Tabor at 612-822-7045.

During the scramble, every member of a foursome (create your own or one will be formed for you to join that morning) tees off.  The foursome then decides which team member had the best shot.  All four team members then take their second shot from that spot.  After everyone's second shot, the foursome again decides the best shot, and shoots from there and continues this until the foursome putts out.  The foursome keeps one scorecard with that series of best shots.  After 9 holes, the foursome with the lowest score wins some prizes.  Some holes will include prizes for best drive, longest putt, etc.  All level of golfers can play.

Cost:  $15, includes clubs and a pull cart if needed.

      COST:  $50 pp when reserved by July 31, 2021

                   $65 pp when reserved after July 31, 2021
